Mensa Test..

Q: What do you put in a toaster?

A: The answer is bread. If you said “toast,” then give up now and go do something else before you hurt yourself. If you said “bread”, go to the next question.

-=+=-

Q: Say “silk” five times. Now, spell “silk.” What do cows drink?

A: Cows drink water. If you said “milk,” please do not attempt the next question. Your brain is obviously overstressed and may even overheat. It may be that you need to content yourself with reading something more appropriate such as “Children’s World.” If you said “water,” then proceed to the next question.

-=+=-

Q: If a red house is made with red bricks, a blue house is made with blue bricks, a pink house is made with pink bricks, a black house is made with black bricks, what is a greenhouse made with?

A: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said “green bricks,” what the heck are you still doing here reading these questions? If you said “glass,” then go on to the next question.

-=+=-

Q: Twenty years ago, a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany. If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany. Anyway, during the flight, TWO of the engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing. Unfortunately, the engine fails before he has time and the plane crashes smack in the middle of “no-man’s-land” between East Germany and West Germany. Where would you bury the survivors - East Germany or West Germany or in “no-man’s-land”?

A: You don’t, of course, bury the survivors. If you said ANYTHING else, you are a real dunce and you must NEVER try to rescue anyone from a plane crash. Your efforts would not be appreciated… If you said, “Don’t bury the survivors” then proceed to the next question.

-=+=-

Q: If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60th of a degree every minute, then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour?

A: One degree. If you said “360 degrees” or anything else other than “one degree,” you are to be congratulated on getting this far, but you are obviously out of your league. Turn your pencil in and exit the room. Everyone else proceed to the final question.

-=+=-

Q: Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales. In London, 17 people get on the bus. In Reading, six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon, two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get on. In Swansea, three people get off and five people get on. In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven. Now, what was the name of the bus driver?

A: Oh, come on now… It was you!

3rd installment of my birthday..

Yup. I had a 3rd installment. Though it is a pretty short one. Celebrated with the Thoren people. In canteen. It was really nice of them to remember my birthday, special thanks to Vincent. I bet it was him who was the one who reminded them.

And what are the presents I received?

A cake!

Baked by Vincent!

Thanks pal!!

That boy told me beforehand: “Veron, I very poor, no money to buy present for you. I make something for you okie?”

I expected a handmade card or something simple! Though it was his first time baking a cake, it tasted quite nice!

My dearest Auntie 2 gave me a hot pink Nike bottle! To encourage me to drink more water! Thanks babe!

Send and Alex gave me a Nike bottle too! But of different design, and they are complaining that why am I not using their bottle??

I seriously love my friends!

Thanks for making my 20th birthday such a wonderful event! More for my 21st! =D

1st installment of 20th birthday celeration..

18th Jan, celebrated my 20th birthday with my uni friends. Though some of them could not make it, we had lots of fun still. From all the jokes and food discussions and revealing of my surprise of the night.

The birthday boy and girl with their friends!

Zongxiang, Alex, Seng, ZhangMei, Princess, Mabel, Mitchelle

Us with the Tom and Jerry cakes!!

The boys

The girls!

Kenzo Amour! From the girls, my very 1st birthday present this year! thanks!!!

And remember about the surprise I was talking about earlier? Because of the fact that Mabel was worried that people will get me the same presents from my wishlist, so she told me in advance that the girls are going to get me the perfume! So, to add in the element of surprise, dear Mitchell made me a card!

V IS FOR VERON! =D

Ain’t it cute! It is definitely the effort that counts!

The messages!

Had a really great time with them yesterday! Though we only knew each other for half a year, they are definitely friends for keep! So glad to have known them!

Special thanks to

-Mabel ( wo men jia de!), Zhang Mei, Mitchell, Alex (Happy 22nd birthday!), Zong Xiang and Seng for turning up!

-M&M, Zhang Mei, Yuan Lin, Cindia, Viona and Yuhua for the present! Thanks girls! We are the ultimate 8 k! =D

Lectures would not have been so enjoyable without anyone of you! To more birthdays! Yeah!

Yesterday night, Cousin Luke, Jennifer and my beloved brother asked me down to MoS. Because Jennifer read from her tourist guide that MoS is a must to visit. Had lots of fun taking photos but did not enjoy the music. Went over to Dbl O instead. First time getting into O bar. The Door Bitch was like: eh, 3 days more to the birthday, can let her in anot? Haha!

Anyway, Dbl O was having some Indian day or something. They actually hired some Indian dancers to dance. Very Bollywood-like. Met one of my brother’s friend whom I have not seen for 2 years! Can you believe it that he still remember me?! Oh god.

Met Marcus and his friends. Too many of them to remember their names, but I do remember helping one of them to get a girl’s number. Heh. That’s what I am really good at huh. =D

Had a lamboghini yesterday! Got high, but not drunk. Bro was worried that he had to carry me home! Jennifer is the only one who got drunk and the 3 of us had to look after her! I had to follow her to the toilet. =.=

Overall, it was really fun! So glad that Jennifer came over, created a chance for us to go out together. Next sat, Hao and Kelvin will be joining us. Cousins outing! =D

You know it is your lucky day when..

You got full marks on your quiz.

You got 80% for another quiz which was done on the same day, different topic.

You got those marks with only 1 day of intensive study for each subject.

You get to go out of the island for dinner with a hunk!

You get to enjoy halloween with your favourite girlfriend!

=D

Guy talk.

Somehow, I always envy guys. Simple reason. They can simply hit it off with another guy using one topic.

NS.

There seems to be never-ending tales from those 2 years where they simply let their brains rot and rot. Left to the maggots to decompose.

These guys of ours (in terms of Singapore, not my boyfriend!), they never seems to care about the feelings of the ladies beside them. They can just go on and on and on about those days in the field, or the office if they are one of the chao geng ones.

Stories of haunted places, stories of heroic things they have done, stories of dumb bunk/platoon/company/whatever mates.

The ladies are bored to tears with these tales of yours! Every guy we met will try to impress us with the same stories. I mean, come on, how many different tales of Tekong can you come up with right?

I am grateful that you guys spent 2 yrs of your precious life learning how to defend the country, though some joker simply chao geng all the way.

But, can you stop repeating those tales for the millionth time? It is really getting boring.

Imagine, your female friends simply chat about the latest fashion/hunks on TV/cute guy on the street (okay, I had to admit, we simply gossip about everyone around us) in front of you and you have nothing else to do except to listen?

WHAT WILL YOU DO!?!

I bet you will just go crazy, else, you are just a himbo. =D

This particular phenomenon (the army talk, not the bimbo talk!) is especially notices ever since I entered varsity. It could be because the guys have all went through NS and thus, find it the easiest topic to use to break the ice. But, after 3 months of knowing you and hearing all the 10001 tales you have, repeating them is simply intolerable.

So guys, please know your limit. If you think that us girls are simply too bitchy, ie. gossiping/bitching about people all the time, do not make the same mistake of talking to us about NS all the time!

Especially those from a more commendable unit, please stop boasting to us. We cannot be bothered!

Thanks!

And, just a little something before I end off.

Angel Cheryl and Kitty Princess

Softball..

A sport that I have never try before.

A sport that I have never watch before.

A sport that I thought I will give up after 1 or 2 trainings, as usual.

A sport that brings me much happiness.

A sport that makes me enthusiastic.

A sport that I enjoy playing.

A sport that let me get to know my seniors better.

A sport that let me get to know the others and have them root for us during games.

A sport that have me look forward to trainings.

I didn’t know that a sport cando so many wonderful things.

That little thing about St James..

Just went to St James with my Uni pals last night.

Visited powerhouse.

Music is cool.

However, there is always a but, isn’t it?

Drinks sucks!

Super diluted!

Crowd sucks!

All the old people!!

I guess the average age group there is about 25?

Oh dear, I even saw some executives in their suits on the dance floor.

The experience is a horrible one i guess.

Was kind of terrorized by the girls on the platform too.

Haven’t they got no sense of shame?

All the dirty old men were just ogling at the side,

trying to peep up their miniskirts..

*shakes head in disbelief*

My first visit to St James,

could be my last too.

But,

It is still much better than MoS.

=D

The lame jokes/games and prata after were fun though!

Thanks to Cheryl, Wanjing, Ian, Jason and the drunk Nadia.

=D

You guys are the only thing that rocks last night!

Backed.

Woohoo!

Finally managed to get my bum to sit still to blog again.

I missed blogging.

I missed typing out nonsense and then deleting every single word to retype again.

=D

I simply miss having a place to rant!

Anyway,

Updates about varsity life!

It has been great and fun-fill till this very moment!

I am having my recess break for this week and I love rotting at home!

Totally random I know.

=D

Anyway,

What is an entry without pictures right??!!

Of all the hot babes and hunks of NTU!!

And then we went to…

SENTOSA!

We actually challenged a group of people to volleyball…

and lost badly.

Wahahaha.

Kinda think too highly of ourselves,

but Ramuh always act with the saying:

Winning or losing does not matter, it is the process that matters.

=D

We did exactly that.

Heh.

We had steamboat at Bugis after sentosa!

That was one of the best time of my uni life!

Went out with my beloved Ramuh again!

Steven and Andy!

Andy’s head is like super big can!

Told u!

I just knew that he likes to take pictures with me.

Act blur only!

Boyfren #62!

#62 again!

Nina! and Princess!

My fav buddy!!

Who’s missing??

Celebrated Joan’s birthday at Zouk!

Though there were only a few of us,

we had lotsa fun!

Another group of people that made my time in NTU so enjoyable!

Thoren!

I simply heart them!

Though I did not enjoy the camp as much as I would like to,

I just find this bunch of crazy people irresistable!

We had our Hall DnD on 1st September,

theme?

Retro!

Woohoo!

Just nice, my favourite.

Boyfriend #106 and Princess

We won the sparkling juice by performing a Bollywood MV on stage!

That is the Princess pretending to be Miss Thoren!

Vincent and #106 got bullied by the pretty girls!

Da Pretty girls!

We even went to Dbl O after that since our dress code matches the retro party!

=D

Though it was really tiring after partying so hard!

It was well worth the time!
