Some thoughts…
Just had an emotional talk with mrBF. Was telling him about me going out on thursday with my juniors for kbox and dinner. He was not very happy about letting me go. And I can understand.
I know that he worries about me being snatched away by other guy/s (like yah right??). Because a similar incident happened before but that does not mean it will happen again.
Some may say that he is selfish but I will say that it is his lack of self-confidence at work. Therefore, I believe that a heart-to-heart is required at this moment. That was what we did exactly. I hope that I manage to regain some of those confidence after the talk.

Happy Birthday to my Dearest!
Today is a happy day!!
Because……
It is my dearest mrBF’s 22nd birthday!! And we are at a chalet to celebrate!!
It has been a very very happy 5 months and 4 days by his side. The amount of joy, love, care and concern that he showered me with is definitely comparable to those of my family.
Not sure if you guys have seen these photos but I know he will kill me if he knows that I post it here. =D
And now, he has started on a new section of his life, his work, while I still remain where I am, a student.
I hope he doesn’t abandon me for those Obit Girls at his workplace, not that there are any to speak of.

I hope that you have enjoy the celebrations held last night, with your friends and family. Though I may seems bossy or irritating or small gas at times, I still love you loads, but maybe not as much as you love me. So glad that you are officially 22 already, please start acting your age k, you are not 18 anymore, neither am I. We have to work very hard to build that future of ours. Sorry that you have to start earlier but I will definitely catch up with you soon. Thanks for everything that you have done for me. I really appreciate you and I don’t know what I can do but just to stay by your side to give you my utmost support.

Short term memory that is.
I actually had many many things that I wanted to blog about but I just cannot seems to remember what it is when I finally get the chance to sit down in front of the computer.
One thing that I can remember for sure is my results. Just got my year 1 sem 2’s results.
1 A, 1 A-, 2 BS, 1 B-. GPA? 3.9
A slight decrease from my previous GPA of 4 but sure can make up for it in the long run one. I still have3 more years to go. =D
Met up with the barflies on the 23rd May for a Bombay Tea Party, a ritual that we observe whenever Uncle Yeo returns from spitland. I think the next one has a BBQ theme to it, though I cannot remember what is the exact title.
Location was at Plush bar, again. But with round 2 at Gotham Penthouse. A new favourite joint of the younger Barflies.
There was a birthday boy among us that night, Ah Tay, who got wasted very very early and got cheated by the DPL of the bar for a bottle of Martell.
Yet to receive the photos from Ms Cakie yet, but will post it up when I get them.
Jane’s birthday was on last tuesday. Welcome to the 20s club!
First time that I saw her drunk, but still, she is a better drunk than Dayne, who started to cry after he got drunk on his ORD celebration drinks. *sniggers*
Also, met up with Charlie Chow after god-knows-how-long to get my super belated birthday present. Thanks ar, Korkor.
I know that this post is super random, but still, need to document everything lah. Else nothing to look back after many many donkey years.
ps: My apologies to Hot Mama for not attending last friday’s supper gathering. Mum was being uber strict that night hence my lack of attendance. =C

This post is super late but nonetheless, arrived.
The very nice Sheriff of Cowboybar actually had a waiting list of up to 2 pages to draw chalkboard flowers for all the hiao XMMs ( xiao mei mei/men men) of the bar. But he did not reject any request and eventually did a very nice one for me.
Somehow, this Uncle Yeo thinks that I belong to the Ah Lian category of XMM, hence the naming of the flower as Princess of Lian.
He did the drawing painstakingly for us on his tablet and thus we should all show our appreciation. Hence, a big THANK YOU to Uncle Yeo for the flower. Shall give you a surprise when you next come back alright! =D
I bet some of you must be thinking, why am I addressing Jaywalk as Uncle Yeo when his last name is not yeo?
The thing is, everytime I do a “yo” on msn to him, he will reply with “your head lah”. Eventually, it evolved into Uncle Yeo Hed Lar, hence the Uncle Yeo. =D
I think only he can think of this kind of lame things. =p
Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Uncle Yeo again for the flower and may there be more flowers to come! =D
Things that irritate me..
Don’t you just hate it when you are rushing for time( fine, I was just really hungry and looking forward to going home to Empress’s cooking) and the journey which usually takes 10 minutes was extended to 20 minutes? Just because the Bus driver decides to be a road hog and drive at 20km/hr??? And turns into bus stops that has ABSOLUTELY NO ONE!?!!
That is super irritating can!! My stomach was already growling like nobody’s businss and yet, it takes forever to reach my destination.
Another thing that irritate me, being paid for nothing. Yes, your eyes did not play tricks on you. PAID FOR NOTHING! Has been working for 3 weeks already, yet the amount of work I did is so dismal. Not that I am slacking, but there is really nothing to do due to the higher authorities taking their own sweet time to upload the files for us to do our part.
mrBF has been really great to me. He picks me up after work and accompany me for lunch whenever he can. Just the other day, he played MJ with Grandma to keep her entertained even when he does not like to play. Sometimes, I think that he is really too nice to me and I do not deserve it. However, I do try to change for him, to be a nicer person.
Met up with Princess Green Tea on Sunday for brunch as well. Has not seen her for so long yet she is still the same! Still as skinny as ever and a great meal buddy!
Going for a short getaway on the last week of June, to our neighbouring country’s city, KL. Any recommendations for entertainment?
Mother Nature
I guess the topic of Earthquake in ChengDu has been on everyone mind the past week or so. It has also created a dinner topic for the Royal Family 3 nights ago.
Somehow, have anyone realised the number of natural disasters in recent years?
- SARS (still a disaster anyway)
- Tsunami
- Hurricane Katrina
- Cyclone Nargis
- Volcano Eruptions
- Bird Flu
- Many many more……
I cannot help but think that could these be our own doing? If we did not anger Mother Nature in the first place, would she unleash her fury on us?
Look at all the damage Man has done to her. The rapid depletion of Amazon forest, the increasing pollution that causes unimaginable consequences, the extinction of animal and loads more.
However, looking at all these events from an Economist’s( I know I am not one yet but going to be one anyway) point of view. Could it simply be Mother Nature trying to control the exploding population using her own means? Look at the number of people in the developing countries who dies daily due to starvation, malnutrition, thirst even?
All these can be explained using a simple model of demand and supply.
The ever increasing demand but decreasing supply leads to many people not getting what they need for survival!
The basic theory of scarcity! Finite resources and unlimited needs!
As the Prince of the family predicts, will the next epidemic hit the sheep next, since all other animals have been affected already ( think Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease)?
Sometimes, instead of blaming Mother Nature for unleashing her fury, maybe we can try to understand things from her point of view? She did all these because she loves us. Though by sacrificing so many lives just to keep others alive, it is inevitable lest one day, Man will really extinct, just like the dinosaurs!
Work is no fun… but…
Work is worse!
Finally finished one week of holiday temporary work.
Am currently working at Science Park doing logistics. An area I have not deal with previously. It is a whole new experience to me, but really boring! No one to talk to because I only have one other partner doing the same thing and we have to share the workload so that we can finish them on time. However, she took MC today and I was left to finish the remainder, which is quite a lot, by myself.
Empress kept asking me how is work and all I can say is my colleague is very lazy. She always complain that she is tired and wants to take break or she wants to sleep. How to finish our work like that?
Though I do keep talking about taking break, but I make sure that I finish my work before I do but she does not! She simply says that we can leave it for later. =.=”
Anyway, mrBF came to pick me up after work for a few days. So nice of him to make the trip down then send me home. Sometimes, I feel that I do not appreciate him enough. I guess, that is what people call as giving your best in a relationship.
Suddenly I miss my schooling days. Those days without stress of finishing my work on time.
Uncle Yeo will be coming back from SpitLand soon and there is going to be a Tea Party to welcome him back! Also, the party is to celebrate my LaoDa’s birthday. Have not seen both of them ever since the previous party!
Time passes so fast when one is having so much fun! I miss hanging out with the barflies! Though they are full of nonsense most of the time, they can be really knowledgeable too! So if you are interested in joining us for the upcoming Tea Party, join us at Cowboybar today!

Am at mrBF’s place now. Did something wrong on wednesday. Disappointed mrBF till the point that he does not have trust in me anymore. Really sorry to mrBF. I really did not do it with ill intention.
Luckily, he has already forgiven me and all is fine now. Really has learnt a lot from this incident. Learnt that mrBF is indeed, the best-est boyfriend a girl can has, and, I have to grow up. Have to take responsibility for my own actions.
mrBF, I am really sorry for being the disappointment that I was, but I promise that I will learn from this mistake, and behave myself and be the best girlfriend that any boy can has. Remember our promises? The future that we dream of? I will work hard with you to make that dream becomes a reality. =D
